Who We Are

Association for the Welfare of Albinos (AWA) is a woman-led organisation founded in Cameroon in 2016 and legally recognised in 2019. We work specifically for and with people with albinism to advance their health, education, protection, inclusion, and empowerment.

AWA operates through community-based programmes, partnerships, and advocacy, focusing on communities affected by vulnerability, poverty, displacement, and conflict.
