Our Safeguarding Commitment

AWA exists to protect the dignity and safety of people with albinism. We have zero tolerance for sexual exploitation, abuse, harassment, child abuse and any harm caused by our staff, volunteers, partners or programmes.

Our commitments

• All staff and volunteers sign our Code of Conduct and Safeguarding Policy.
• We carry out safer recruitment and safeguarding training.
• We never ask for money, sex or favours in exchange for help. AWA support is free.
• We protect the identities, images and locations of the people we serve.
• We respond to every concern promptly, confidentially and with care for the survivor.

How to report a concern

You may report anonymously. People who report in good faith are protected from retaliation.
